Galvamet America Corporation offers a complete line of insulated metal panels for commercial, industrial and cold-storage applications and has an estimated production capacity of 10 million square feet per year. Galvamet is a true single source supplier of quality insulated wall and roof panels.

Based in Shelbyville, Indiana, the Galvamet facility is equipped with a state-of-the-art, fully automated, foamed-in-place technology. Galvamet produces FM and UL approved panels that feature an isocyanurate rigid foam core with galvanized steel face sheets. Galvamet controls the entire production process to ensure consistent quality, reliability and on-time delivery.

Galvamet insulated metal panel are designed for commercial, industrial and cold-storage roof or wall applications and can be used in both new and retro fit constructions. Galvamet panels may also be used for cold storage buildings, food processing plants and other applications where temperature control and insulation values are critical. Other applications include: manufacturing facilities, distribution warehouses, aircraft hangers, equipment maintenance buildings and schools.

LINE 1
Is a continuous line that is used mainly for the production of our Hi Rib roof and wall panel. It can also produce several wall profiles as well. The process begins at the front of the production line where pre-painted coils of steel are rollformed into the desired profile. As it proceeds through the line, the side joints are also rollformed.

Then they continue along the conveyor into the main oven where liquid foam is injected between the metal skins. This 4 part mixture reacts and rises to completely fill the panel. As the newly produced insulated panel moves through the oven it is held in place as the foam begins to harden and cure.

At the end of the line, computerized cut off saws produce the precise lengths that are needed for each project ordered. The finished panels are stacked and shrink wrapped into bundles ready for shipment to the jobsite. The entire process is almost fully automated and requires only a few men to operate.

    LINE 2
Is a continuous line similar to Line 1 except that it incorporates the newest technology and is the most advanced line anywhere in North America. It’s main purpose is to produce the full range of wall panels available from Galvamet.

It’s modern design allows for changeovers between panels and thicknesses to be completed in just minutes. After the panels are cut to length they are cured individually in an innovative cooling station before they are stacked, reducing the in plant time and assuring optimum flatness.

    LINE 3
Is a new state of the art stack mold line which produces the architectural panel and the Galvatile roof panel. The rollformed steel facings for each panel are inserted into a mold where liquid urethane foam is injected under high pressure.

The panels are held in place for several minutes insuring architectural flatness and quality.
